You are bidding on an Elgin pocket watch, made in 1903, with a rose gold locomotive on the rear. It comes with a ball to open the screw back.

Dial: The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued steel spade hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial is signed ‘Elgin’.

Movement: The nineteen jewel Swiss lever escapement movement has an over-coiled blued steel balance spring and has fancy engine turning on the bridges. The pocket watch is in excellent working condition, however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The movement is signed "B.W. Raymond Elgin, Illinois, USA, and is numbered: 10004289. To set the time, use the lever at the number 2 to lift the movement.

Case: This pocket watch lies in a nice open face silver screw-on hinged case with a rose gold locomotive on the rear. The inner side of the case is numbered 527507 and signed “Illinois case Co. Elgin Ill, Sterling Silver United States Assay 925/1000 Fine 4.”
