Gold Open-Face Pocket Watch with a diamond embellished Skeleton Movement - Made in Switzerland, circa 1850
This is an impressive open face, key wind, skeleton movement pocket watch, made in Switzerland, circa 1850.
Dial: The white enamel unsigned dial has thick black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions and golden hands. There are no hairline cracks on the dial.
Movement: The key wound skeleton movement is embellished with beautiful diamonds. It is an early flat cylinder movement with an under sprung three-armed balance and applied diamond set scroll overlay. The movement is in great working condition. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any antique pocket watch.
Case: The watch lies in a gold open-face case with a two-piece hinge case front and a display case back. There are diamond set bezels on the case but regrettably, there are a few missing both at the front and back. However, this does not detract from the overall condition of this beautiful watch - a must-have collector's piece!
