This is a very rare silver Zenith pocket watch engraved with a beautiful equine image - a horseshoe flanked by two horse heads in the centre and an engraved galloping horse at the back. It is a truly impressive watch - well worth owning!

Dial: The white enamel dial has thick black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has black hands and a subsidiary second’s dial at the six. The dial is signed in the upper centre “Zenith” with a decorative horseshoe flanked by two horse heads in the centre.

Movement: The anchor lever movement has 15 jewels with a high swan regulator. The movement is signed “Zenith, PAT Oct 18, 1904, 30751” and numbered 1542974. As this pocket watch has a very high-quality movement and is fully screwed, it is possible for a watchmaker to make this pocket watch work with full accuracy!

Case: The watch lies in a silver cuvette case. The inside of the case is signed “Grand Prix Paris 1900 Medaille Dor Geneve 1896, Ancre Levees Visibles Double Plateau 15 Rubis Balancier Compense Spiral Breguet Zenith”. It is hallmarked “Zenith Swiss 1904” and numbered 2536670. There is an engraving of a galloping horse on the rear of the case.
